The grapes for this wine were grown at Cheryl and Jim Haines' vineyard alongside Mount Langi Ghiran. The wine is deep purple in colour with intense aromas promising a mouthful of flavour.
Tasting notes
Cassis, candle wax, spice and just a hint of mint are just some of the vast array of aromas jumping out of the glass. The palate follows through with a dense personality full of dark fruits, savoury chewy tannins and a long dry finish.
The wine demands food and is a mere infant at this stage, but given time, will soften and give real joy to those who like impressive wines.
Cellaring
It is anticipated that this wine will reach maturity in 2009-2015.
